In this post we’ll look at the specific situation in the Czech Republic, and what the advantages are of choosing software development in this country. For some of the more general advantages of becoming a developer, check out our infographic on the subject. We’ll also discuss the best languages to learn for those thinking of learning to code.

Advantages

Salary

The average salary for a software is somewhere in the region of 50,000 CZK per month with the potential to earn in excess of 100,000 CZK per month for highly skilled, experienced developers. Given that the average wage in the Czech Republic is around 28,000 CZK per month, the financial benefits are clear. This is in no small part down to the incredibly high demand for developers and the key role they now play in most successful businesses.

Job security

Again, due to the high demand for development, good programmers will never struggle to find a new job if for some reason they are forced to leave their current one. A quick glance at Jobs.cz turns up 2,500 vacant positions for software developers, compare this with 736 for marketing, and 700 for HR/Recruitment.
